Hyderabad, April 18 -- The Telangana government has issued orders amending building regulations to mandate sound-resistant construction in areas falling under airport noise zones.
According to G.O.Ms No. 124 issued by the Metropolitan Area & Urban Development Department on Friday , the amendment introduces specific provisions under Rule 3(d) of the Telangana Building Rules, 2012.
The order states that all new buildings including residential, institutional, hospital and commercial structures coming up in notified airport noise zones must incorporate sound-resistant materials and design features to improve indoor environmental quality.
