Hyderabad, Sept. 9 -- The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught a Deputy Executive Engineer of the Quality Control Cell, Musheerabad Division, red-handed while allegedly accepting a Rs 10,000 bribe, according to an official release.
ACB officials from City Range-I allegedly caught the accused officer, Sai Ram, red-handed when he demanded and accepted the bribe from a complainant in return for performing an official favour.
According to the ACB, the officer demanded the amount for issuing a Quality Control Certificate for the first contract work already completed by the complainant and for issuing a Quality Control Certificate for a second contract work.
