Hyderabad, June 8 -- Telangana Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday directed irrigation officials to implement a time-bound action plan for speedy completion of major irrigation projects in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district.

Chairing a high-level review meeting after Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's recent irrigation tour of Palamuru, Uttam Kumar instructed officials to accelerate land acquisition, rehabilitation, power connectivity and pending infrastructure works.

The Minister said the government was committed to completing long-pending irrigation projects to transform agriculture in the region and benefit lakhs of farmers.
