Hyderabad, Sept. 12 -- Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Buddhaprakash Jyoti on Saturday directed General Managers (GMs) of all areas to ensure achievement of revised daily overburden (OB) removal targets in all open cast mines to facilitate adequate coal supply to thermal power stations in Telangana.
Reviewing the performance of 19 offloading companies engaged in OB removal operations across 15 open cast mines, the CMD said power consumption in the State was increasing significantly and Singareni was taking measures to meet the rising coal requirement.
