Hyderabad, May 12 -- The National Turmeric Board (NTB) on Tuesday organised a Farmers' Awareness Programme and Market Linkage Session on turmeric at Siripuram in Marpally Mandal of Vikarabad district, bringing together turmeric farmers, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), exporters, industry stakeholders and officials.
The programme focused on quality standards, value addition and improving market access for turmeric growers.
Addressing the gathering, Bhavani Sri, Secretary of the National Turmeric Board, stressed the importance of backward integration and aligning production practices with international market requirements.
