Nalgonda, May 17 -- In a shocking incident, a mother and daughter were brutally hacked to death in broad daylight at Ibrahimpet village in Anumula mandal of Nalgonda district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Rudraksha Sumalatha (40) and her daughter Rudraksha Lavanya (19).
According to police, the two had gone to work in an oil palm plantation when unidentified assailants allegedly attacked them.
The attackers reportedly threw chilli powder into the eyes of the victims before assaulting them with sickles and killing them on the spot.
