Hyderabad, Aug. 13 -- The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Telangana C.Sudharsan Reddy, IAS, has warned electors against fraudulent messages and calls being sent in the name of the Election Commission of India (ECI), seeking personal and banking details.

According to an official statement on Thursday, fraudulent messages are being sent to electors claiming that details in their Election Cards and Enumeration Forms do not match and that their forms have been rejected. The messages ask recipients to call a given number or click on a WhatsApp link to fill up the form again.
