Hyderabad, Oct. 26 -- The Telangana BJP on Monday launched week-long celebrations of Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti at its state office, while State BJP president N Ramchander Rao criticised the Congress over party president Mallikarjun Kharge's reported remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's father and accused it of spreading misinformation about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Rao paid floral tributes to Maharshi Valmiki and offered special prayers at the programme organised by the BJP SC Morcha.
