Hyderabad, Sept. 3 -- The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a disproportionate assets (DA) case against Vuyyala Somaiah, Town Planning Officer, Suryapet Municipality and in-charge Town Planning Officer, Kodad Municipality.
According to an ACB press note issued on Thursday, the case was registered under Section 13(1)(b) read with 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act following allegations that Somaiah acquired assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
ACB officials conducted searches at his residence, office and seven other locations linked to his relatives and associates.
The searches reportedly uncovered three acres and three guntas of agricultural land, five residential properties, eight open plots...
