Patna, May 23 -- Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Yadav on Saturday criticised the recent increase in petrol, diesel and CNG prices, terming the move as "anti-people" and accused the centre's National Democratic Alliance government of favouring corporate interests.

Yadav alleged here that the central government has once again raised fuel prices, adding that rates have increased by nearly Rs 5 over the past 10 days, putting an additional burden on the common people.

He claimed that despite crude oil prices being lower compared to 2014 levels, petrol and diesel prices have nearly doubled, accusing the government of ignoring public welfare while benefiting private companies.
