Pune, Aug. 12 -- Tejas Patil, a student of the School of Computing at MIT Art, Design and Technology University in Loni Kalbhor and an international fencer, won a silver medal in the foil event at the Under-23 Commonwealth Fencing Championship held in Lagos, Nigeria.
With this achievement, Patil has brought laurels to the university at the international level.
He also secured a bronze medal in the foil event of the Senior Fencing Championship.
In the Under-23 individual foil event, Patil put up an impressive performance to reach the final.
He lost 15-13 to England's Oliver Stone in the title clash.
