Hyderabad, July 24 -- Telangana Director General of Police C.V. Anand on Friday stressed the need for technology-driven policing to effectively tackle the growing threat of cyber crime and directed police units to improve the state's performance in national cyber security rankings.
The DGP reviewed the implementation of cyber security initiatives, e-Zero FIR and the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) through a video conference with officers from various police units.
During the review, Anand said the Prime Minister's PRAGATI platform regularly monitors the progress of key governance initiatives and noted that the Government of India had expressed concern over the rise in cyber frauds, particularly "Digital Arrest" scams...
