Patna, Sept. 5 -- Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari on Saturday urged teachers to focus not only on imparting academic knowledge but also on developing the personality, character and values of students, saying the state's golden future rests in their hands.
Addressing a Teacher's Day function at Shri Krishna Memorial Hall here, which he chaired in the presence of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Tiwari called upon teachers to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and sincerity.
He said a teacher's most important field of work is the school and assured that teachers would no longer have to travel to Patna to stage protests for resolution of their problems.
