Itanagar, Aug. 12 -- Patriotic fervour gripped Tawang on Wednesday as a grand Tiranga Yatra was organised from the Giant Buddha Statue to the Tawang War Memorial as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.

The yatra, featuring a 100-metre-long National Flag and hundreds of participants carrying the tricolour, was flagged off by in-charge Deputy Commissioner Rinchin Leta and Superintendent of Police Tasi Darang in the presence of ZPM Kyidphel Tenzin Monpa, ZPM Tawang Sonam Nordzin, senior officials and members of the public.

Addressing the gathering at the starting point, Leta highlighted the significance of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and recalled the role of the National Flag and Vande Mataram in India's freedom movement.
