Kolkata, May 30 -- : The BJP government in West Bengal has intensified its focus on industrialisation, with state BJP president Shamik Bhattacharya indicating that efforts are underway to bring the Tata Group back to Singur, nearly two decades after the company withdrew its Nano car project from the state.

Speaking after a meeting on Saturday, Bhattacharya said that the state government wants the Tata Group to return to Hooghly district and invest once again in Singur.

He described the move as an important step towards restoring investor confidence in West Bengal and sending a positive message to industries across the country and abroad.

"We want the Tatas to return, and that too in Singur. We want to send a message to the entire country...
