Mumbai, June 5 -- Tata Motors will expand globally in the next five years, and with the acquisition of Italian commercial vehicle and powertrain manufacturer, Iveco Group, it will rank among the top four commercial vehicle makers in the world, according to Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran.
Tata Motors is in the process of acquiring the Iveco Group, in an all-cash deal valued at approximately €3.8 billion (around $4.4 billion USD). This acquisition will create a global commercial vehicle powerhouse with combined annual sales exceeding 540,000 units.
