Mumbai, July 23 -- Telecom infrastructure company Tata Communications has officially announced that it reported a 29.35pc year-on-year (YoY) decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 134 crore for the first quarter of fiscal 2026-27 (Q1 FY27), as compared to Rs 189 crore in the same quarter a year earlier.
The company reported an exceptional loss of Rs 106.36 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 20 crore in the year-ago period, which impacted its bottom line.
The one-time charges included provisions related to staff cost optimisation, losses arising from a fire incident at a co-located third-party data centre, and provisions for certain contractual obligations. The company also recognised a reversal related to provisions made under the new lab...
