Chennai, July 29 -- The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) formally commenced its probe on Wednesday by conducting searches at 41 locations across Tamil Nadu, including the residences of DMK strongman and Former Minister V.Senthilbalaji in connection with alleged irregularities in liquor procurement for the state-owned TASMAC outlets during the previous DMK regime.
The DVAC after registering a disproportionate assets case against Senthil Balaji, former TASMAC Managing Director S Visakan, several other individuals and distilleries that supplied liquor to TASMAC, conducted simultaneous raids in 41 locations across the state, including 14 locations in Chennai, besides the residences of the former DMK Minister in his native Ka...
