Chennai, June 18 -- The first day of the first session of the Tamil Nadu Assembly commenced with the rendition of the Tamil Thai Vaazhthu at the beginning and for the first time in four years Governor R V Arlekar delivered his customary address to the House in full without any deviation.
Soon after the House assembled for the day at 1000 hrs, as per the long followed tradition, the State song Tamil Thai Vaazhthu was recited at the start followed by the National anthem, which normally would be played at the end of the session, and the Governor read out the address prepared by the ruling TVK headed by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay in full.
