Gangtok, Sept. 5 -- Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Saturday called upon teachers to remain committed to their postings, particularly in remote areas, stressing thatschools in underserved regions continue to face shortages while urban institutions havesurplus teachers.
Addressing the state-level Teachers' Day celebration organised by the Education Department at Manan Kendra here, Tamang, drawing from his own experience as a former teacher, acknowledged the challenges faced by teachers working in difficult and remote locations.
