Taking right turn? Vijay govt guillotining Periyar, Ambedkar, Nehru from policy note invites ire of opposition DMK and ally VCK

Chennai, Aug. 29 -- Despite the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam positioning itself as the true vanguard of social justice, the Vijay government guillotining the names of icons of social justice, 'Periyar' EV Ramasamy and Dr BR Ambedkar, besides Jawaharlal Nehru from the policy note, has invited the ire of the opposition DMK and heartburn for the ally, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK).

It has given rise to questions as to whether the Vijay government is taking a rightward turn, even while having Periyar and Ambedkar as the TVK's ideological leaders.
