Pune, Aug. 13 -- Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil today urged educational institutions in Maharashtra to take the lead in extending skill-based education and training to students in rural areas, assuring that the state government would provide the necessary infrastructure and support for such initiatives.
He was speaking at a function organised to felicitate Dr Swati Mujumdar on her appointment as Chancellor of the Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU). Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Symbiosis chairman Padma Bhushan Dr S. B. Mujumdar and Sanjeevani Mujumdar attended the programme online.
