Chennai, Oct. 25 -- The Chennai City police has registered an eighth POCSO case against tainted bizman R.Veeramani of Gem Granites, who arrested and jailed for sexually assaulting several juvenile girls.
A police release on Sunday evening said based on a complaint and after obtaining statement from one more victim, police slapped the eigth POCSO case on him.
With the slapping of one more POCSO case against Veeramani, the number of cases rose to eight. He was also booked for abetting the suicide of a minor girl (also POCSO charges invoked) who took the extreme step after being sexually assaulted by him, taking the total cases to nine.
