Chandrapur, June 3 -- The core zones of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district will remain closed to tourists from June 30 to September 30 as part of the annual monsoon shutdown aimed at protecting wildlife and ensuring visitor safety, forest officials said on Wednesday.

Chief Conservator of Forests and TATR Field Director P N Shukla said entry to the reserve's core areas will be suspended during the rainy season.

However, tourism activities in the buffer zones will continue, subject to weather conditions and administrative directives issued periodically.
