Hyderabad, Aug. 18 -- Telangana Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Women & Child Welfare Dr. Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) on Tuesday urged women Sarpanches in Agency areas to take the lead in transforming their villages into model villages and assured full government support for their development.
Inaugurating a three-day training programme for women Sarpanches from Agency areas at the MCRHRD Institute in Jubilee Hills, Seethakka stressed the importance of understanding and implementing the PESA Act, strengthening Gram Sabhas and protecting the rights, traditions and interests of tribal communities.
She said administration in Scheduled Areas should take into account their unique social, cultural and geographical conditions....
