Nizamabad, Aug. 13 -- Two women were killed after a speeding container lorry rammed into the rear of a stationary private bus at Govindpet flyover in Armoor today, police said.
The bus had reportedly stopped on the flyover after suffering a tyre puncture. The two women were sitting on the road divider in front of the bus when the container lorry crashed into the vehicle from behind.
Due to the impact, the bus moved forward and ran over the women, killing them on the spot.
On receiving information, police reached the spot, recovered the bodies and shifted them to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident.
