Hyderabad, Aug. 23 -- City Police arrested three persons for allegedly using a counterfeit rubber stamp to falsely show that bills had been paid and obtain goods worth around Rs 24.16 lakh from a dry-fruits business in Begum Bazar.

The accused were identified as Mohammed Akbar, Mohammed Aleem and Mohammed Qasim Pasha, all residents of Shastripuram, Mailardevpally. They were arrested around 10 p.m. on August 22 and produced before the XVI ACJM Court, which sent them to judicial custody today.

According to police, Begum Bazar trader Karan Kumar had lodged a complaint on August 21, alleging that Akbar and Aleem had used a fake stamp bearing "JAI BABA KI - V.TC. - PAID" to show that bills had been settled. Using the stamp, they allegedly proc...
