Hyderabad, Aug. 7 -- Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police arrested 49 cybercrime accused from 15 states in nationwide operations in July, registering 70 FIRs based on complaints received through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP) and facilitating the refund of Rs 98.89 lakh to victims.
A police statement today said the accused were involved in 25 cybercrime cases, including trading fraud, social media fraud, digital arrest scams, WhatsApp display picture fraud, matrimonial fraud, investment fraud, job fraud, crypto impersonation and other offences.
Most arrests were made in Telangana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. During the operations, police seized debit cards, mobile phones, laptops, cheque books, passboo...
