Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 26 -- Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission President Swami Gautamananda has recalled his close association with Vivekananda Kendra President late A. Balakrishnan and his dedicated service to the educational uplift of tribal children in Arunachal Pradesh.
At a commemorative meeting for Balakrishnan at Bharatiya Vichara Kendram here on Friday evening, Swami Gautamananda said this in his message, which was read out by Swami Mokshavratanandaji, President of Ramakrishna Math, Thiruvananthapuram.
Swami Gautamananda said the demise of Balakrishnan on August 27, 2026, brought back "sweet memories" of the five years he spent in his association from 1976 to 1981.
