Kolkata, Aug. 1 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday said the state had undergone a fundamental transformation, asserting that the change was not merely political but institutional too, as he welcomed exiled Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasrin back to Kolkata after nearly two decades.
Addressing a literary event at Rabindra Sadan, Adhikari assured the exiled writer of complete security whenever she visits the state, saying, "It is not just the face of the government that has changed in West Bengal, the system too has changed.""You are welcome to come here whenever you wish. Ensuring your safety is the responsibility of West Bengal Chief Minister and Police Minister Suvendu Adhikari," the Chief Minister said.
