Kolkata, May 8 -- Newly elected BJP Legislature Party leader Suvendu Adhikari on Friday expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and paid tribute to Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Swami Pranabananda after being chosen to lead the BJP legislature party in West Bengal.

Addressing party legislators, senior leaders and workers after his election, Adhikari thanked the people of Bengal for placing their trust in the BJP and said the mandate reflected the aspirations of people seeking political and administrative change in the state.
