Shillong, Sept. 1 -- The scheduled hearings of claims and objections under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, which were temporarily disrupted/suspended across 14 assembly constituencies in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills district due to the prevailing law and order issues, have resumed from August 31 with considerable improvement in the situation, an election official said on Tuesday.
Electoral Registration Officers (EROs)/Assistant EROs have resumed activities under the SIR, including service of notices and conduct of hearings across the district.
