Shivamogga, July 26 -- More than 60 students of a residential school in Karnataka's Shivamogga district were hospitalised after a suspected food poisoning incident, with 11 of them requiring referral to the district hospital after falling seriously ill, officials said on Sunday.
The incident occurred at the National Residency Residential School in Konandur village of Theerthahalli taluk after students consumed dinner on Friday night. Soon after eating *avalakki* (flattened rice), dal and chapati, several students complained of vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach discomfort, triggering panic at the hostel.
