Bengaluru, June 6 -- AICC national general secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala on Saturday moved to quell speculation surrounding the reported resignation of senior minister Ramalinga Reddy, asserting that the veteran leader continues to remain an "asset" of the Congress party and has withdrawn his resignation following discussions with the top leadership.
Addressing mediapersons, Surjewala said the matter had risen out of a "misunderstanding" but was resolved following the intervention of Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara, KPCC president BK Hari Prasad, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and other senior leaders.
