New Delhi, June 5 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday welcomed the designation of the Jai Prakash Narayan Bird Sanctuary (Surha Tal) in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district as India's 100th Ramsar site, describing the achievement as a significant milestone in the country's efforts to protect wetlands and biodiversity.
In a post on social media platform X, Modi said, "A century as far as Ramsar sites are concerned!
