Mumbai, May 16 -- Leaders of the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction), Umesh Patil and Avinash Adik, on Saturday clarified that Sunil Tatkare will continue as the Maharashtra state president of the party, while Praful Patel will remain the working president.
Addressing a press conference, the leaders said journalists should take note that there has been no change in the leadership positions. They added that the party's national committee has only recently been announced, and any future organisational changes would be decided by the national committee.
The clarification came after reports suggested that several senior leaders' designations were missing in a letter submitted by the party to the Election Commission.
