Chennai, June 2 -- The Southern Railway today announced that the peak summer season has enhanced the commuter patronage for AC Electrical Multiple Unit (EMU) on the Chennai suburan sector.
The AC services has gained strong commuter preference this summer recording the highest ever patronage in May this year,"The AC EMU services operated by Chennai Division of the Southern Railway between Chennai Beach - Tambaram - Chengalpattu section continue to witness growing patronage from suburban commuters, reflecting the increasing preference for comfortable, convenient and passenger-friendly rail travel", it said.
