Bhubaneswar, Oct. 10 -- The Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital-2 at Phulnakhara near Bhubaneswar has introduced digital biofeedback therapy to strengthen technology-assisted mental healthcare and expand treatment options for patients suffering from various psychiatric and stress-related conditions.

The procedure was successfully operationalised in the hospital's Department of Psychiatry and announced on Saturday to mark World Mental Health Day.

The technology-assisted psychotherapy is used to help patients manage anxiety, panic disorders and everyday stress. It can also serve as a complementary therapy for regulating blood pressure and managing tension-related headaches and migraines.
