Shimla, June 19 -- : Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday urged Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) to undertake research in the emerging field of green hydrogen, saying the sector holds immense potential for the state's future and clean energy ambitions.
Addressing a function after inaugurating and laying foundation stones of various development projects at HPU, the Chief Minister said the state government was actively promoting clean and green energy initiatives.
He said Himachal Pradesh's first Green Hydrogen Project was being established at Nalagarh in Solan district and stressed that the university should contribute through research and innovation in the sector.
