Kolkata, Sept. 30 -- A dispute over a torn book escalated into a classroom attack at a reputed Kolkata school on Wednesday, with a Class IX student allegedly bringing a knife from home and slashing his classmate's throat.
The incident at South Point High School in south Kolkata has caused a stir across the city, raising serious questions over security in educational institutions. The injured student was rushed to Ruby General Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
