Shimla, May 24 -- Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Sunday condemned the assault on the driver of an HRTC Volvo bus near Ghora Chowki in Shimla, terming the incident unfortunate and highly deplorable.
Agnihotri who also holds the portfolio of Transport said that the state government was taking the matter very seriously and strict action would be ensured against those responsible.
Agnihotri said Himachal Pradesh, known across the country for its rich culture, civility and hospitality, could not allow such inhuman and anti-social incidents that tarnish the image of the state.
