Washington/ Tehran, June 26 -- The UN's International Maritime Organization (IMO) has paused "immediate evacuation operations" for more than 11,000 sailors stranded in the Strait of Hormuz after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked a Singapore-flagged cargo vessel Ever Lovely, in an incident that tests the durability of a newly signed US-Iran agreement aimed at reopening the critical shipping lane and ensuring stabilizing maritime traffic and seafety of seafearers in the Gulf.
