New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- The Indian Stock Markets on Friday higher in a volatile session snapping a two-day losing streak.
Nifty managed to close above 24,150, led by gains in Information Technology (IT) stocks.
At close, the Sensex was up 330.92 points or 0.43 percent at 77,264.51, and the Nifty was up84.80 points or 0.35 percent at 24,175.65. BSE Sensex and Nifty50 declining 0.3 per cent each during the week.
Among the sectors, mixed trend was seen with IT index rose 3.5%, pharma, metal, media indices up 0.4% each. On the other hand, consumer durable, FMCG down 0.4% each.
On Nifty, the gainers were TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies, while on the losing end were Asian Paints, Shriram Finance, ITC, ICICI Bank and UltraTe...
