New Delhi, Sept. 10 -- Indian Stock Markets today snapped three-day losing streak and ended higher in the rangebound trade, with Nifty managing to close above the 23,400-mark amid brisk buying in the media and financial sectors.
At close, the BSE Sensex was up 138.36 points, or 0.19 per cent, at 74,902.59, while the NSE Nifty was up 46.30 points, or 0.20 pc, at 23,477.80. Nifty Midcap index declined by 0.4 pc while Smallcap index remained unchanged.
Among the sectors, those ending in green were media, PSU Bank and Private Bank, while metal, auto, pharma edged lower by 0.5 pc each.
On Nifty, the top gainers were HDFC Life, Power Grid Corp, ONGC, Bharti Airtel and Tech Mahindra while on the losing end were HCL Technologies, Hindalco Indust...
