New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- Indian Stock Markets on Friday recovered sharply from day's low and ended marginally lower in a volatile session.
At close, the Sensex was down 120.83 points or 0.16 percent at 74,781.76, and the Nifty was down 79.70 points or 0.34 percent at 23,398.10. Nifty Midcap index declining 0.26%, and Smallcap index falling 0.6%.
For the entire week, BSE Sensex and Nifty shed 2% each.
In terms of sectors, Nifty Private Bank index rose 0.5%. Metal and Realty indices declined more than 2% each and Auto, Energy, Oil & Gas, and PSU Bank indices fell 0.5% each.
On Nifty, the gainers were Dr Reddy's Laboratories, HDFC Bank, ITC, Tech Mahindra and Wipro while Hindalco Industries, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Eicher Motors and ONGC were...
