New Delhi, July 10 -- Indian Stock Markets on Friday extended their recovery for a second consecutive session with both the Sensex and Nifty gaining around 1 percent.

At close, the Sensex was up 827.57 points or 1.08 percent at 77,569.39, and the Nifty was up 244.10 points or 1.02 percent at 24,206.90. While for the entire week, BSE Sensex and Nifty fell 0.2pc each.

The cumulative market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms rose to almost Rs 482 lakh crore from Rs 476 lakh crore in the previous session with the investors earning nearly Rs 6 lakh crore in a single session.

Among the sectors, Nifty Realty was up 3.49pc, PSU Bank up by 3.03pc, IT up by 1.96pc, Metal up by 1.48pc, Oil and Gas up by 1.31pc, and Private Bank up by 1.16pc.
