New Delhi, July 22 -- The Indian Stock Markets declined on Wednesday extending losses for the third straight session. Markets was driven by higher crude oil prices, and rising geopolitical concerns weighed on investor sentiment.

Sensex settled 715.06 points or 0.92 percent lower at 76,755.05, while the broader Nifty declined to 23,996.25, down 191.45 points or 0.79 percent.

In terms of sectors, all indices traded in the red except the auto, which was marginally higher. Nifty Smallcap 100 and Nifty Midcap 100 falling 1.02 percent and 0.79 percent, respectively.

On Nifty, nearly 40 stocks ended in the red. InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, and Jio Financial Services ended as the top laggards, falling up to 4pc.
