Dhanbad, May 9 -- IIT (ISM) Dhanbad on Saturday conducted a STEM outreach and motivation programme for around 160 students of Classes IX and X at Girls High School, Railway Colony, Bhaga, under a CSR initiative of Bharat Coking Coal Ltd (BCCL).
The programme focused on making science engaging through hands-on experiments for children of Project Affected Persons (PAP) and other underprivileged sections.
The institute said the session included experiments such as Balloon Blow-Up, Lava Lamp, Candle Water Rising, Turmeric Indicator and Elephant Toothpaste to explain concepts including gas formation, air pressure, chemical reactions, density and pH change.
