Hyderabad, Aug. 17 -- Telangana Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Monday said a statue of Bahujan leader Sardar Sarvai Papanna would be unveiled near the Martyrs' Memorial at Tank Bund on Tuesday evening to mark his 376th birth anniversary.
Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat, Prabhakar appealed to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, PCC president, ministers, MPs, MLAs, public representatives and people supporting the Bahujan ideology to participate in the statue unveiling ceremony.
He said statues of social reformers Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule had recently been unveiled in the same vicinity, while the statue of Konda Laxman Bapuji was also located nearby.
