Ahilyanagar, Aug. 16 -- The 2007 case involving the suspected death of Suman Kale, a woman from the Pardhi community, while in police custody in Ahilyanagar, has finally received a fresh direction with the State Government constituting a new Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter.

Prof Sagar Shinde, state co-convenor of Vivek Vichar Manch, had lodged a complaint with the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Commission and consistently pursued the matter. The Commission took serious note of the complaint.
